MCT:October 6, 2008This film is G.R.E.A.T. - It's a really sad reality, but somehow, at the end It's beautiful...Shows that everyone has a good side in themselves but some people just won't let it come out, instead they let ambition take place...But it's a 5 stars movie for sure!

What makes you sparkles , have to shed blood first .
Blood Diamond is a brutal , bloody and thrilling sensation of an action-drama movie . With the Africa bloody views , tear-jerker drama(minus flowy-flowy love stories) , orchestrated chaos and holocaust for beautiful sparkles on rich people's body .
With serving from Edward Zwick . A dry land covered with red blood and black-skinned corpses . TIA , That is Africa
With awesome full-of-holocaust intervention scenes and the greatness of Africa-land(read : Africa's scenery) . Zwick packaged Blood Diamond with rap-reggae score ,which did not match and over-volume in some scenes .
Zwick made another brutal excitement , a long running-time but yet thrilling and exciting .
Well , it was an almost-perfect casting .
Leonardo Di Caprio as the brutal , white-skinned African Danny Archer did his role well and serious , i never expected that he could change his accent nicely , from that crispy-young voice into British-African voice .
Djimon Honsou as the innocent Solomon Vanda . He made Solomon's emotion(and body language) nicely and captured my attention(to understand the plot) perfectly .
Jennifer Connely as the slick ,kind-hearted journalist Maddy Bowen 'over-whelmed' by Leo's & Honsou's appearance , she did that well . But , still forgettable .
At the end,Blood Diamond is a thrilling sensation with African scenery and full-of-suspense action-drama and truth .

Zwick does action drama better than almost anyone out there. Glory. Last Samurai and Blood Diamond are shining examples of that. DiCaprio is fantastic as is expected of him nowadays and so is Hounsou, what a brilliantly entertaining film.

There are few movies out there that provoke such a response like that of Blood Diamond. It is uncomfortable to watch at points due to the fact that you know this movie is based on real events which still happen today. Movies can really help open peoples eyes and that is exactly what Blood Diamond does. Fantastically shot and acted Blood Diamond is a move wich tries to make a difference and succeeds.

Leo and Djimon score big here. Also, the depiction of the conflict in Sierra Leone is not only accurate, it is a devastating example of corrupt corporations reaping the benefits is war and the deaths of many innocent people.

The movie is a little violent. But it's plot and story are nice. Good features, effects, and setup .. The romance is not so obvious but there's a fleeting feeling to be felt.

T.I.A. This is Africa. And from Africa comes a perfect scenery for a movie, Blood Diamond. Set in Sierra Leone, this movie just got me.
Well, I can't say much for my review's opening, but I just wanna say that the cast of this movie simply a good one. Picking Leo as the main cast? Such a brilliant choice! His performance wasn't outstanding but still a very good one from Leo. He used different accent which was so cool. Djimon Honsou, this African-born actor simply caught my eyes. For him, his performance simply outstanding! Next is Jeniffer Conelly. Well, to be honest her performance is an adequate to be Leo's love interest in this movie. Arnold Veloso as one of the bad guy or the antagonist I might say, well just an average acting performance from our "Mummy".
Enough for the cast, now we're going to travel to the land of the plot, score, etc. Right, the plot of this story is a good one, but still not enough to make this movie a masterpiece. Well, a something shocked me at the end of the story, for I was hoping for a "Perfect-Happy Ending". But that's good.
For the score, I would say that it was a good one (three out of five). And almost forget about the set and the effect. Setting a movie in Africa always provide us with a beautiful scenery and for the special effect, it was a good one, for the producer could make a good gun fight in this movie. One last thing, this movie has lots of good quotes and it was unexpected (for me). Well, I guess that's enough.
Alright, this is the end of my review. To conclude this movie, Leo (and Honsou) really done well to raise this movie up. Good performance from 'em. To end it, I just wanna say one of the best quotes of the movie. The Third World is not a world apart and the witness you will hear today speaks on its behalf. Let us hear the voice of that world. Let us learn from that voice, and let us ignore it no more. -

Fantastic flick. Di Caprio yet again in an awesome performance. Being a true story of what happened in this part of the world at that time and the way it was captured was brilliant. Jennifer Connelly has such seductive eyes and she actually is pretty hot, which I haven't noticed before.

Djimon Hounsou great acting... dicaprio was quit good. And the movie goes away from the traditional hollywood way; not too far away of course, it's still hollywood... Good, they are moving foward.
