MCT:May 12, 2006I heard so many positive things on this movie I was eager to watch it. Five minutes into the movie I was thinking "this isn't what I was expecting..." This is a flop. It's weird and not in a feel good way... Just a weird way. The characters, for the most part, are losers, featuring several extensive drug scenes, an avid porno shot, and the one guy ripping off a store for money. I was half expecting there to be an orgy at the swimming pool. Natalie Portman's character is cute, but in essence she is a bit too... well... ditzy to qualify as a free spirit in my books.
Reading the other reviews from flixster, I almost have to wonder if I watched the wrong movie, but there is no doubt in my mind: THIS SUCKS!! -
MCT:December 1, 2008Overrated. I had wanted to see this for a long time and oh what a disappointment. I can see what it was trying to do, and ive seen it done well but this just didnt hit any marks.

Beautiful, amazing, and one of the best i've ever seen. And now the song 'New Slang' is my favorite song and makes me happier if I'm feeling down :)

This film is definitely one of my favorite films ever!.... Zack Braff is soooooooo cute is I'm so extremely jealous of Natalie Portman for sleeping wth him.... even if it was pretend!!!

two words boring as, adding a third word, hell! not one good laugh in the whole movie, just sulking whining and crying. this movie makes me hope zach braff never directs again. terrible, awful stuff. natalie portman sucked too by the way

This movie is one big walking cliche. The characters try so hard to be eccentric that it just comes off as pretentious. Not to mention that Zach Braff and Natalie Portman's acting abilities are questionable at best.
