I sat down to see this with the lowest of expectations, it was predictible but turned out not to be a complete disaster after all.
It started out good but kind of lost focus around halfway in and kept swirving out of control the closer it got to the end.
But... George Lucas; "great" visual effects does not make a great movie.
And like many have already said, Shia LaBouf - WHY?
I have never watched any previous movies in this trilogy. However i liked this movie. Overall, pretty enjoyable movie with a fun storyline with characters you can't help but love.
Amateurish and uninteresting script that only takes us on a rollercoaster of mostly uninspired action sequences. A couple of good moments (and the Indy nostalgia) save the movie, but everything is too much over the top and unengaging.
This was a huge disapointment for me. I really did not find anything except for Cate Blanchatt to be of interest. Harrison Ford is very numb in Crystal Skull and unfortunetly Karen Allen should not be there at all.
Indiana Jones are probably one of the best adventure character all time and i enjoyed the 3 first movies alot. Harrison Ford still makes the role really good despite his age and in team with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas its hard to fail. The movie are as expected not in the same level as the first ones tho but very watchable. Some scenes were a bit to much and this time more for the whole family i thought. But great action scenes and a fair story in nice environments along with the classic indy soundtrack makes its a good flashback of the old adventure hero. Karen Allen are back aswell and thats good for a sequel. Overall a nice adventure. Enjoy
Indiana Jones is 64 years old, and his latest adventure is accordingly less sharp, gritty, and energetic than those of his relative youth. The film would have done better to replace most of the digital effects with good old-fashioned wit and ingenuity, but all the trademark elements are in place, and they earn the film a spot alongside the other classic installments.
God dammit, I wanted so badly to love this movie but it fails on SO many levels that it's exceedingly hard to even as a die-hard Indy fan. I can't believe all the wasted potential this movie has. Bright sides are plentiful but the downfalls happen to be major like the PLOT and some of the key action sequences that made the other movies so solid and rewatchable time after time after time. Maybe time will tell with this one, I hope so.
Just one more meaningless American blockbuster. Nothing was remotely good enough - except for Shia's performance, which was okay. Even the special effects weren't as good as they should be.
Slow beginning but after a while there are some fast-paced, exciting and original action scenes and the movie gets really entertaining. Good adventure movie, with all the classical Indiana Jones themes, but I'm pretty sure that it won't leave a lasting impression. Shia LaBeouf proves once again that he deserves to get big roles like this.
I ABSOULUTLY LOVE INDIANA JONES AND THIS IS LIKE THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!! I CAN"T WAIT TILL ITS OUT ON DVD!!!!!!! i must buy it!!!!!
what a waste!!!!!!!!!!!!!i almost felt like watching some bad misdirected adventure movie....i still wonder...how could they(speilberg & lucas)end the superb "indy" franchise with a scum package like this...
okay. not as bad as the 2nd one, but then, neither is a root canal. the "nuke fridge" is now the "jumping the shark" of movies. just so bad. shia, why?
As good as the first one. Temple of Doom and Last Crusade were sort of corny but Crystal Skull was as good as the origonal.
Great! Should have gone to theaters for it! Don't let the word of others put you off. It was great!
This was the best movie this year, if you dont see it you will hate yourself for not going and seeing it!
The whole big secret the woman had was very predictable, and to me it seemed like the secret of the skull was a bt out of place but over all I really liked the movie
Indiana Jones theme song:
ba da da da, ba da da, ba da ba BA, ba da bababa! Ba da ba ba, BA DA DA! Ba da da, ba da da, ba da de, ba de bo.
That's all it is.
lolz
this movie sucked on ice. everyone involved should be embarrassedi'd be embarrassed if i was only the caterer. oh, and fuck shia 'i wish i was the wild one' lebeouf.
A really entertaining Indy flick that makes you glad Harrison took the chance to play the role again. The action sequences are fantastic, but the ending was really weird - I couldn't decide whether it was really clever, or really stupid.
The story kinds of goes in circles - Indiana and friends find treasure, Irina wants to take from them, they escape, repeat. But traits that make the previous IJ films good help it along.
Wow, sorry to say that while Harrison Ford did a great job as Indy. Lackluster plot kills this movie.
I was kind of disappointed with this one.. it wasn't bad, but it just didn't feel like Indiana Jones to me. George Lucas wrote the story, and I usually love his stuff, but if he wants to write sci-fi,then he should stick to Star Wars. I understand the beliefs behind Crystal Skull, but they didn't actually have to bring it to life in the movie.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is my #1 favorite movie. So when I walked out of this one all I could think is, "What the Hell were Spielberg and Lucas trying to do?? Give this franchise a heart attack by piling on the cheese?!" Yes folks this movie is far too cheesy and silly for its own good. The first 3 Indy movies at least felt believable despite the fantasy elements...this new one just seems absurd. A shame.
It's kinda weird to see Harrison Ford age in this flick, but I have to admit he's still has the punch. The Alien bit though doesn't feel "Indy"-like.

haha i thought it was entertaining, acting/ characters was good, strong special efects etc
Excellent job!
Now this is the movie that all the fans of Indy were waiting for, man.I loved it.I WANT MORE!!!
Fun, enterteining, genuinely amusing. Harrison Ford's very good interpretation, perfect in Indy's role. I do not believe that it could demand him more to this movie.
