MCT:October 4, 2008Okay, short and sweet. I respect the art direction of that movie (how come people who are so into that do not bother to read comics then ?). But the rest ? It's just violence for suburban kids to wank off too, sorry to put it that way, no hard feelings if you like this movie but it makes me sick.

Stylish, and visually very appealing, Sin City pulls off the transition from graphic novel to the big screen quite well. The dark mood and themes of revenge and freedom are quite catchy, but the setting didn't work well in all places. It's obviously tongue in cheek, but it's pretty sexist in some ways as well. Also, I felt it didn't get away with gratuitous violence as well as movies like Kill Bill, perhaps because the tone swerves between serious and over the top.

One of the most visually beautiful flicks ever made. Took the black and white look (which some people in today's standards may feel is boring) and did something unique with it and presented something beautiful. Great F'N cast, Robert Rodriguez, shows his genius by not touching a damn thing by the brilliant mind of Frank Miller but give his graphic novels a heartbeat.

This movie was amazing! It was full of all kinds of action and gore, I can see Quentin Tarantino's "guest directing" at work. Sin City is the first comic book movie I've seen that makes you feel like you're really in a comic book. It has old school charm mixed with a very modern, different look, and an amazing cast. Go see this one!

As awesome at it is when you watch it, it's steadily forgettable - I can't remember any lines from this movie. But the visual style is unique. Worth a watch only if you're into this action/graphic novel genre, or else you'll get lost in it a bit.

The Dark Knight was the definitive superhero movie.
This is the definitive COMIC BOOK movie.
Almost word for word it is accurate in it's adaption.
My personal favorite story in it is probably 'The Big Fat Kill,' although 'The Hard Goodbye' is still the best. -

its a good movie, marv was by far my favorite character. i liked it when he was in the chair, the priest is reading the last rites, and marv says 'hurry up! i dont have all night!' with regards to his execution. :)

I loved this. It was great to see Elijah Wood doing that character. The best "noir" I've seen other than the classic noir. This is actually something different and most definitely not for everyone.
