This is alot better than the first. The special effects were amazing, but the storyline could have been worked on a little more. I mean i liked this movie...but it was no Iron Man.

For those that know only of the original comic book Hulk, the TV series Hulk, or the regrettable Ang Lee Hulk, you should know that this new version is a mixture of origins.

Without spoiling it, one of the larger ingredients in this new Hulk comes from a Marvel series that is an alternate universe. There are many differences in the Ultimates Universe. In this version, Banner did not get his gamma radiation from exposure during an experimental bomb explosion. I won't spoil it, but you can go to www.marvel.com and look under "Ultimates" if you wish to get the gist of it.

I can truly say that this version captures a little of everything, so that no matter what your knowledge is of the Hulk character, there's tie-ins to everything.

Personally, I felt this reboot was well thought out. It allows for any future connectivity by not limiting it to one version of the Hulk. This will allow future Marvel movie-makers the ability to pick and choose aspects from the multitude of alternate universes, re-tellings, and time spans to combine whatever they please.

This was well cast. When the overall product can make me forget the fact that I don't like a specific actor, and truly appreciate the total entertainment experience, it's something to smile about. I won't mention which one I don't care for, since all that will do is spark useless debate.

Story - intricate and intelligent, fast-paced, yet deeply explanatory, complex, yet easily taken in by non-geeks. Enough references to the true comic, alternate comic, and TV show, that everyone in the sneak peek seemed to be pleased. I surely was.

CGI was great. Don't know why some have to nit-pick, but you can't please everyone, I guess. Action was wonderful with plenty of it! If you've ever read one of my reviews, you'll know that I'm a true fan of overall entertainment. While I have favorites, I don't base reviews on just one actor, writer, director, production company, genre, or whatever. So, if you don't like my opinion, so be it.

For a two hour film, it feels as though very little actually happens in this latest re-incarnation/psuedo-sequel of the green giant, but for what is shown - it is enthralling. The film aimed at a different take on the ambivalent hero from Ang Lee's sorely disjointed film - and it succeeds. The Incredible Hulk is a film of entertainment, watching with adrenaline as Banner evades an ever persistent task force, and for this fact it is a film of supreme fun. Norton hits the needed notes with the scenes given to him, and Roth makes more than enough of his role that is sure to please moviegoers. But in the end, the film feels a half hour too short. Had an extra layer of character insight been injected into this concoction then we could have been treated to something special. But, alas, we will have to wait for the Letterier/Norton cut to see the true potential of this menacing beast.

Very impressed actually. Superb acting from Norton, as per usual, brilliant cinematogrpahy, plot was good though the Tim Roth character's finale seemed poor though Roth himself was good.
One of the best superhero movies in a long time.

Just plain bad. A watery-thin plot, no character development, tiresome fight sequences, and some truly, laughably atrocious lines of dialogue. ("Any last words?" ... "HULK SMASH!") After the near-perfection of "Iron Man", I think we all had our expectations a bit too high. This one is a disappointment.

The incredible Hulk opens its way as one of the best action movies of the season. With a completely new adaptation of the movie combining parts from the comic and parts from the 70's T.V. series, the film comes full of action and adventure, a good story of love and even some humor moments. It was like an adrenaline shot right to the heart. The CGI and special effects are really great. We can see a more realistic, more human Hulk, of course that they still can make it better. The movie is full of references of the Marvel Universe like the brief appearance of Tony Stark talking about The Avengers. The cast is awesome, all-star actors and actresses like Edward Norton with a flawless performance, it's like he was born to be Bruce Banner, the character really fits him, Liv Tyler in the role of Betty Ross is great so sweet and cute. Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky a.k.a Abomination was the perfect villain and William Hurt give a convincing performance as General Ross. the brief cameos of Robert Downey Jr. Lou Ferrigno and Stan Lee were a great add to the movie. In conclusion, this is by far a better Hulk movie than the one of 2003. Enjoyable entertaining one of the best of the season.

A lot better than the Ang Lee mess, but an overall dissapointment. I think I saw the Hulk sigh during a fight.

''There are aspects of my personality that I can't control. And when I lose control, it's very dangerous to be around me.''

Fugitive Dr. Bruce Banner portrayed by Norton must utilize the genetic accident that transforms him into a giant, rampaging hulk to stop a former soldier played by Tim Roth, that purposely becomes an even more dangerous version.

    Edward Norton: Bruce Banner

    Liv Tyler: Betty Ross

    Tim Roth: Emil Blonsky

Hulk has the cast, the plot and the look to reboot a previously squandered job on one popular character's from Marvel. So doe's Hulk please and thrill and add another fine strong notch to Marvel's belt? I'd say yes thanks to a number of reasons.

The director Louis Leterrier who was also behind Transporter crafts a superhero chase movie that is pure blockbuster material and a comic book fanboy feast. I never saw Ang Lee's Hulk which to me looked awful and on seeing this reboot, this makes me pleased i did not.

Effect wise I was worried, granted in places there not perfect but in others they are pretty damn detailed. I find metal effects are far more easier like Iron Man to pull off, to do fleshy muscle effects is a real challenge and in creating the Hulk I can see how hard it must have been. Some of the rain parts with Liv and Hulk were pretty damn pure indulgence on the realism stakes.

Action wise The Incredible Hulk is like a roller-coaster Fugitive mixed with Kill Bill and Sith. I mean the music is blaring, guns and sonic emitting weapons not to mention camera angles that make use of the open spaces and cram in the level of destruction when Banner is unleashed in Hulk form every time.

Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/Hulk is a very interesting choice for Hulk and one of the main reasons for me wanting to see the film plus the excellent cast. This actor is like choosing a win-win situation, his attention to detail and focus is apparent in every little gesture and word he performs. Whether it be a magician, a Neo-Nazi or now The Hulk Edward Norton proves what being an Actor is about and one of those aspects is the ability to change. Bruce Banner ultimately has a beacon on him with Norton's representation.
Liv Tyler as Betty Ross shows that Liv isn't just a beautiful face but a talented actress. The love story between Betty & Bruce shows that there is more to this film than explosions and carnage, formulating romance and poise.
Tim Roth who plays Emil Blonsky is the crazed nemesis of the piece. Found it hard to believe such a short man with tattoos and a gruff posture could be of military personnel. But I overlooked this as he was pretty damn funny in his bold audacity and his sheer audacity. As usual American casting an English Actor as a bad ass bad guy is typical.
William Hurt as the General was a fine addition. The cigar smoking, no nonsense military man showing his penchant for using things for weapons such as Bruce for his own gain and then Blonsky. He ultimately becomes redeemable which came as a sudden surprise at a point.

The Incredible Hulk is a top notch chase movie combined with a Comic Book Character who isn't a typical hero but one with a troubled affliction, like a modern telling of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, which shows him fight his inner demons and become a reluctant Hero. Hulk also surprises us with cameos from Stan Lee, The original Hulk and Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man/Tony Stark giving us a hint of maybe a movie featuring all the Marvel Hero's together in a film, like the comics Justice League. Not sure how they would do that but that would be amazing.

Fans of Edward Norton should see this, Fans of the Hulk or Comic Book flicks will not be disappointed.

    You wouldn't like it when I'm...hungry! :P''

I rather enjoyed this. First off I love Norton. He is one of my favourite actors. I felt that he did a very good job. The main reason though that I gave it the rating I did was because the graphics and stunts really blew me away. They were top of the line in my books. It was very cool looking. Worth watching.

As a big fan of the original TV series, this movie didn't disappoint. Lots of action and great computer animation. The lack of realism in the 2003 version is the reason I skipped it. I was glad to see this movie get released with Norton as the lead. Looking forward to the Avenger team getting together.

Leaps and bounds over any earlier attempts at creating a working Hulk movie. This movie unfortunately takes place after the initial transition into the Hulk has already happened. So Bruce Banner is already on the run at the beginning of the movie. But I think this was a good move. If they didn't do this, they wouldn't have the time to show everything else they did. This is a must see.

A pretty good movie although the beginning was a bit slow. The special effects were cool and the final battle at the end was pretty exciting. All in all a pretty good superhero flick.

Ho-hum. The creators may have scored points with a cleaner, crisper CGI, but fell short, in my opinion, on story content. The plot felt tired and used (and I'm no comic book aficionado) and brought nothing fresh to the table. Ed Norton's Banner seemed a bit on the puny side; simpering here and sighing there in his green, ostracized misery. And no matter how honest an attempt this team made to bring the big, bulging green man of muscles to a realistic life, to me, the Hulk just looked like a Gumby on steroids (although not AS awful as the previous incarnation).

Watching 'The Incredible Hulk' is alot like taking a bottle of unmarked tablets. It's poorly thought out, badly executed, but alot of fun to watch. But only for a little while.

This movie exists for three purposes. One: To correct all those 'daddy issues' mistakes of 'Hulk'. Two: To correct those issues with fun stuff like some brainless action and a plot thinner than public bathroom toilet paper. And three.......to act (with the help of Tony Stark) as one big fat green buildup to something much bigger on the horizon than Bruce "ungrateful wussbag" Banner, which is why so little though was put into this installment. It's straightforward, get in, have some typical Hulk lore, get out fare. And thats it. It's not meant to be dwelled on because it's more like a prolouge than anything else, and prolouges do nothing else but set the tedious groundowrk for the real stuff. With that in mind, watch this superhero space....

Edward Nortan, Looks like Tyler Durden stuck around after all didnt he? Now he's just less maleavolent and more pissed off. Liv Tyler? Sorry but even those lips passed down by dear old dad Stephen cant top Jennifer Connolly in the angelic beauty department. Tim Blake Nelson? Keep playing bad guys.......you really fit the bill.

Justins Best Bit: Standing toe to toe with the Hulk takes alot of balls but not much brains as it turns out. *CRUNCH*

More action-filled and angry than Ang Lee's introspective Hulk of 2003, Director Leterrier's Incredible Hulk is the better movie. It's not on the same level as other elite films in the genre but it's a fun summer popcorn movie regardless. Succeeding mostly on the talents of Ed Norton whose Banner is arguably more interesting than the green monster anyway, this version tries for some depth but the editing clearly prefers an action feel. Those looking for quality will enjoy the first act most but the uneven plot eventually and expectedly succumbs to it's action movie antics and in this way, feels a bit formulaic. The explosive face-off finale between the Hulk and his super-powered antagonist is a bit over-the-top but still appropriately satisfying. And the CGI look of the film is a bit cartoonish but of decent quality even if the Hulk really looks nothing like Ed Norton. Overall, the flaws aren't enough to ruin the movie but for viewers looking for another high after the superior Iron Man, Incredible Hulk doesn't quite deliver the same super quality

This was better than the 2003 movie but still too slow for my tastes. I did like the various nods to the TV show and the comic book. That was a nice touch for the fans.

This move was so much better than the Ang Lee version. Edward Norton did excellently as Bruce Banner. But, they shouldn't have replaced the heroine with Liv Tyler, their romance wasn't connecting. But, the graphics were excellent and there were a lot of action scences. A much watch movie for hulk fans!

Louis Letrrier's vision on this remake is nothing but splendid. The Incredible Hulk is a redo of Hulk which came out in 2003. Leterrier's vision brings the Hulk into populated invironments to show what kinda destruction the green giant can do.

Joining the cast is Edward Norton as Dr Bruce Banner, William Hurt as Gen Thundebolt,Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Roth as The Abomination.

The story is also much better explained as well and mainly focuses how Banner must live with this mutation inside of him and how he must take on the Abomination.

Rhythm and Hues provided the visuals this time around and surely did not disappoint whatsoever. The entire production of this movie was leaps up from the 2003 film and if you haven't seen this then do the favor and do so.
