MCT:October 5, 2008It has the good looks with the cast and the special effects, but the movie is ultimately unsatisfying. The SFX are wickedly cheesy and the usual story with its plot twists will have you saying, "Whoooa, I did not see that one coming" in a sarcastic tone.

MCT:October 5, 2008I loved this movie all the way through! If you like action movies then you will most likely like this one. None of it is believable, but that makes it a fun ride and you will never have a chance to get bored. I loved James McAvoy in this one and the action sequences were kick ass. The ending cracke me up!

starring James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, Morgan FreemanFreeman is Morpheus, McAvoy is Neo and Jolie is Trinity. Well, not really, but the resemblance to The Matrix cant be denied. Add a little bit of Shoot 'Em Up and maybe some Fight Club spices to get Wanted with its meaningless plot but cool action sequences. McAvoy is surprisingly very credible as the action hero and Jolie is sexy as always kicking ass. Its probably not as clever as it think it is but its definately very entertaining. Stylish, bloody and fun.«What the fuck have you done lately?»

Highly entertaining movie that's over the top with the action scenes. When I say over the top, it is over the top. So much over the top that it's laughable, which makes this even more entertaining.
This is definitely a real popcorn movie, we almost finished our big bucket of popcorn here!

MCT:October 2, 2008Entertaining? Very. Substantial? No. As substantial as a one-night-stand with Jolie would be, it would be thrilling and very entertaining but you wouldn't be left with anything to hold on to. Morgan Freeman can do a lot better too, come on.

"Wanted" is loosely based on the comic book miniseries with the same name and tells the story of Wesley (James McAvoy) who lives a typical boring life as a office worker until he gets in touch with a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie) that tells him that he is the son of one of the best assassins in the world and that he shares his fathers great killing abilities. This is a straight up 'over-the-top' action movie and a solid one, fun for the moment, but not very memorable.

great action packed movie. nice plot, gud screenplay n suspense filled movie. the actors are fabulous with angelina jolie as sexier as ever, an implicated James McAvoy and Morgan freeman still fresh.

Unexpected twist.
Alot of swearing.. some far fetched action scenes, but some good action aswell.
Had a couple of laughs.
But I didnt like how the rats got blown up! poor little things :(

wanted, the best film of 2008 so far, is an action with many awesome visual effects and great fighting scenes, similar to hitman. the story is simple, too simple, and involves assassins, revenge, a lot of guns, bad guys, rats, fights, sex and a gorgeous character named fox (played by one of the most beautiful actress ever, angelina jolie). the beginning and the ending are terrible; the script is ok! the cast is perfect; james mcavoy shines as wesley allan gibson, a young and stressed man. angelina jolie is perfect as fox, beautiful, clever and always controlling the situation; angelina is one of the strong motives that made me to watch wanted! another strong motive is morgan freeman as sloan; mr. freeman is, as always, calm, clever and extraordinary. all three (mcavoy, jolie and freeman) delivered outstanding performances! the cinematography, the fighting scenes and the atmosphere are amazing; i could watch the training of wesley over and over again, and still remain fascinated! the camera angles are awful at some moments, but this is not a big problem. there are few memorable quotes. the final twist is good, the soundtrack is acceptable and the visual effects are awesome! of course, wanted is an action film with a crap story and with no hidden message; but it' s entertaining, it' s hot (angelina jolie is the reason) and it' s the best film of this year, so far...

Hmm, this movie was missing some element to make it more complete though I wouldnt really know what that element could be. I think it focused too much on the special effects and stunts and there was not much acting at all.
Interesting though was the fact that Ms. Jolie did not have a main role on this movie (or it did not look like it to me at all) , she looked a bit to cruel, she could have done more..but thats merely my opinion.
Now, James McAvoy performance was rather outstanding and very appropriate to the role he was given. The story line fit him well, he does look stupid and like someone who says sorry to many times. Both 'lives' say fitted him just right.
Over all the movie was a good one, all the gore and action it had was well done . I loved the twist it had , it gave the whole story a new meaning and the ending was just right, way to go seriously. Eye for an Eye it was. =) -

Completely ridiculous, and I mean that in a great way. The movie doesn't take itself seriously, the action is over-the-top and the story is very stupid...but it's all done in a tongue-in-cheek manner, and James McAvoy knocks his role out of the park. Very enjoyable, brain-number of a movie that'll slap a goofy smile on your face.

The plot was lacking, the ending pointless. Cool stunts but stunts don't make a good movie by themselves. Worst A.J. movie I've seen to date.

Very good story line. The action scenes very thrilling. All film goers must view the movie. If any one miss the film, that means missing a wonderful experience.

I do want to see it, but i feel like im goin to be disapointed. I got the comic ( which if one of the best series i have read ), & the casting seems a bit...fucked up. Fox was a black chick who looks exactly like Halle Berry & Wesley looks like a taller Eminem. Im not sure who plays who in the other characters but it will seem weird watching it. But i do hope they kept characters like Fuckwit ( worlds greatest super-hero with the down syndrome ) & Shithead ( made from the shit of 666 most evil villians, like Hitler & Ed Gein )
